Lifting & Raising

Done right, from the first inspection to the final nail.

Lifting is the part of the work people picture when they think about foundation repair, and it is the part that most rewards patience. A house that has taken fifteen years to settle does not come back up in an afternoon without something upstairs paying for it.

We raise in stages, watching the finishes as we go. The aim is to bring the structure back toward level and stop the movement, which is a different target from making every crack disappear. Anybody promising the second one is selling something.

How It Works

01

Call or send the form

Tell us what you are seeing. A crack, a door that sticks, a floor that slopes, or a closing date coming at you.

02

We come out and measure

Elevation readings, a walk around the outside, and the crawl space if the house has one. The visit is free.

03

You get a straight answer

What is moving, whether it needs work yet, and what it costs if it does. Sometimes the answer is that it can wait.

04

We do the work and close it up

Piers set, house brought back in stages, dirt and grass back where they were, photos of what you cannot see.

Before You Call

Lifting & Raising, answered.

Can you get my house perfectly level again?

Usually not, and that is the honest answer. The realistic goal is to bring it back toward level and stop it moving. A house forced all the way back can crack in new places on the way up.

Will lifting crack my drywall or tile?

It can, which is why we do it in stages and watch as it comes up. We will tell you before we start where we think the risk is.

How long does a lift take?

A few days for most homes. The lift itself is a smaller part of the schedule than the digging and the pier setting around it.

Do I need to move out?

Almost never. You will hear the work, and doors may need adjusting afterward.
