Done right, from the first inspection to the final nail.
If your house was built after about 1960 in this area, it is almost certainly slab on grade: one poured concrete pad sitting directly on North Texas clay. When that clay dries out and shrinks in a hot summer, the edges of the slab lose their support and the pad flexes.
You see it above the doors and windows first, because that is where a wall is weakest. Then the doors start catching, and eventually a crack runs up a brick line outside. The house is not falling down, but the movement will keep going as long as the soil under one part of it is doing something different from the soil under the rest.
How It Works
Call or send the form
Tell us what you are seeing. A crack, a door that sticks, a floor that slopes, or a closing date coming at you.
We come out and measure
Elevation readings, a walk around the outside, and the crawl space if the house has one. The visit is free.
You get a straight answer
What is moving, whether it needs work yet, and what it costs if it does. Sometimes the answer is that it can wait.
We do the work and close it up
Piers set, house brought back in stages, dirt and grass back where they were, photos of what you cannot see.
The Difference
Why the details matter.
We take elevation readings across the whole slab before quoting anything, so the pier count comes from measurements rather than from a guess made in the driveway.

Slab Repair, answered.
Is a crack in my slab always serious?
No. Concrete cracks as it cures and a hairline in a garage floor is often nothing. What matters is whether the two sides have moved relative to each other, and whether the walls above are showing it too.
How many piers will I need?
That comes out of the elevation readings. We would rather take the measurements and tell you a real number than quote a package price before we have seen the house.
Will the cracks close up after the lift?
Some do, partly. A lift brings the structure back toward where it was, but it is not a cosmetic repair, and touching up drywall and paint afterward is normal.
Does watering my foundation actually help?
Keeping the moisture around the slab even does help, especially through a dry summer. It will not undo movement that has already happened, and it is not a substitute for piers once the house has settled.
Can you work around my patio or pool?
Usually. Tell us what is in the way when you call, because access is a large part of what decides the price.
